Antigravity yoga chang
I participated in antigravity yoga at Vibes Fitness with Margie for one month x 3 sessions a week, and this is what happened.
A little about me: Life has taken its toll on my body. I often wake up in pain, and my neck and back are aching. My body is weak; I usually feel this in spirit and soul. The last thing I wanted to do was exercise, but I was desperate to change, regain my peace of mind, and eliminate the aches and pains in my body.
My first class was a struggle; my heart wasn’t into it. I wasn’t focused, and my negative self-talk was doing my head in. I did the poses Margie taught us in the class half-heartedly, and after the class, it felt good to move and breathe again instead of sitting on the couch.
I started to look forward to the next session as a way to stay grounded and eliminate aches in my body. Each class got more accessible, and often, I found myself in a state of meditation as I focused on each pose, stretching my body and strengthening my core.
Under Margie’s guidance, the poses that baffled me and I had found hard to do became more accessible, and my flexibility improved so much that I felt freer in my body and mind. And I noticed a big difference in my mindset.
My body responded straight away. I felt connected to my core much stronger, heaps more energy, and my posture had improved. I was feeling better than I had in years. My neck muscles (which are always tight) loosened up, my lower back stopped aching, and my flexibility improved. The changes that happened inside were terrific. I felt more confident and connected to others and started loving myself.
Margie also gave me exercises to do at home, lots of stretches and core work, and I read her great articles from her blog, which helped me practice when I wasn’t in her beautiful, unique studio. I recommend giving it a go; you will notice the difference in your body, mind and soul. I am hooked and will continue as long as Margie has me. xx
